If your child is learning about outer space, this is the perfect activity to reinforce what they have learned. Encourage your child to tell you whatever they know about space and the planets as you partake in this great hands-on activity.

Materials Needed
1. Star beads
2. Glow-in-the-dark beads
3. Swirl pattern beads
4. Large colorful beads
5. Elastic string (1 mm)
Directions
1. Cut enough string to fit your wrist with a little extra room. Tie a loose loop at one end so that the beads do not spill out.
2. Start beading the string with the assorted beads. You can use different colored beads to represent each planet in our solar system. Talk to your child about the planets and which beads represent which planets.
3. Once there are enough beads, tie the ends together 3 times for a secure hold. Cut the excess string. If you have any crazy glue, add a drop to the knot for an extra secure hold.
Now you have your own Galaxy Bracelet!
