Product review of the very popular kids magnetic building tiles, Magna-Tiles but in special animal editions. Our Dream-I students already love the original Magna-Tiles so we bought the Safari, Jungle, and Arctic editions to see if the quality is just as good.
Whenever I see the students playing with the original Magna-Tiles, I see that they like to build houses, castles, and animal habitats. They usually add animal figures and toys from other baskets and pretend play along with their structures. So, we thought this animal edition of Magna-Tiles would be perfect for our little ones. They come with several animals that live in each of the titled habitats.
Magna-Tiles Safari Animals
This set comes with 25 pieces, including 4 animals (lion, giraffe, monkey and elephant). The tiles come in beautiful animal print patterns and safari colors. The original Magna-Tiles only have squares and triangles but this set also comes with a curved piece that can be a roof. The tiles are all great quality and the magnets work well.
Magna-Tiles Jungle Animals
This set comes with 25 pieces including 5 animals (tiger, cheetah, sloth, crocodile, and rhinoceros). The tiles come in beautiful animal print patterns and jungle colors. This set includes a rotating piece and a ladder. The animals are all adorable and the sloth is my favorite.
Magna-Tiles Arctic Animals
This set comes with 25 pieces including 5 animals (whale, polar bear mama, polar bear baby, sea lion, and penguin). The tiles come in beautiful ice and snowflake print patterns and arctic colors. This set comes with pieces that look like pie pieces, which I have not seen before in other Magna-Tiles.
Final Thoughts
The tiles are for ages 3 and up. Each is a 25 piece set so we would suggest using the original Magna-Tiles for extra pieces. I found that I could not recreate the example structure on the boxes. Luckily, we already have plenty of Magna-Tiles for our students to create to their hearts content. Magna-Tiles is truly one of our student's favorite toys.
